The file is made of glass and the case is metal. I have personally used these before and they are the best fingernail file I have ever used on natural nails; they stay sharp and last forever. You get one file with matching case. There are 12 different colors to choose from: (red, pink, hot pink, black, orange, dark blue, medium blue, light blue, blue grey, green, yellow and silver). The silver case has a multi-color file. The file is approximately 5 and 1/2 inches long, about 1/2 inch wide and includes the matching case. This would make a nice gift too. Buy one for at home and another one to keep in your purse or for travel.
